Some Things Never Change I wish I were a liberal I think you know the kind They’re always sure and certain And they never change their mind There’d be no introspection No reflection, no remorse I’d sail in one direction And I never would change course They have a way of blocking out The evidence before them Faced with inconvenient truths Ironically, Ignore them Dealing with bad outcomes Well, they’ve found a way to bluff The program isn’t failing We just haven’t spent enough I ‘d never be concerned about Transgressions or abuses With legions of apologists Preparing my excuses A lurid accusation? The media won’t credit it A fumbling foolish answer?
