Isaiah 58:1
Cry aloud, spare not, lift up thy voice like a trumpet, and shew My people their transgression, and the house of Jacob their sins.

The prophet Isaiah had the difficult task of telling the people of Israel just how sinful they were. He had a command from God...what was he going to do? He had no choice but to obey, no matter how uncomfortable it may have been for him. This is the challenge that pastors have today. It is part of their duty to call out sin. When they don't do that, not only are they being disobedient to God, but they are doing a disservice to the body of Christ. Believers, whether they are new to the faith or are seasoned and have walked with the LORD a long time, need to be reminded of certain sins. Sometimes we get comfortable in our sin because no one ever calls us on it, and it doesn't seem to be that big a deal. According to God's standard, it is that big a deal and the men of God whom God has charged to bring us His Word need to call us out.

If you are in a church where the Pastor never talks about sin, you need to start praying fervently that God will convict his heart. If there is no change, you might want to start looking for a doctrinally sound church. The body of Christ needs the whole counsel of God!
