Matthew 19:16-17
And, behold, one came and said unto Him, Good Master, what good thing shall I do, that I may have eternal life?
And He said unto him, Why callest thou Me good? there is none good but One, that is, God: but if thou wilt enter into life, keep the commandments.

Most did not want to believe that Jesus is the Son of God. Jesus encounters a man from the multitude who calls Him "Good Master". Jesus explains to Him that the only One Who is good is God the Father. Jesus was explaining to the person, without explaining to the person, that He is God. There would be no way He could be good unless He was God, and there would be no cause for this person to call Him good unless they believe He is God.

John 10:30 says "I and My Father are one." Jesus is God. Those who say they believe in God, but reject the lordship of Jesus Christ do not truly believe. They are equally as lost as those who claim no faith at all. One cannot truly believe in the true God and not believe what His Word says about His Son. The wonderful fact of the matter is that no one has to be lost. Every person alive on the earth still has a chance to place his or her faith in Jesus Christ, and spend eternity in heaven with Him forever. If you have not placed your faith in Him, do so today. Do not let this moment pass. Tomorrow is not promised. The rest of this day is not promised! The LORD could come for any of us at any time. Be ready...
