Reading Chad's blog led me down a rabbit hole. I ended up reading the Constitution. I have not read it since I was in junior high. I remember my aunt and uncle came down from Boston one summer for a visit, and they brought me a HUGE copy. (I wish I still had it.)
Anyway, I am reading Article 2 Section 4, and it says this:
"The President, Vice President and all civil Officers of the United States, shall be removed from Office on Impeachment for, and Conviction of, Treason, Bribery, or other high Crimes and Misdemeanors".
Do you think that the White House resident and his assistant qualify?
As I read on down to Article 3, Section 3, it says. "Treason against the United States, shall consist only in levying War against them, or in adhering to their Enemies, giving them Aid and Comfort"....
Maybe I'm thinking wrong, but would you say that releasing a germ onto the American population and then forcing them to take a deadly "remedy" would qualify?
I'm just thinking out loud. If anyone has any thoughts on this, please share!
