Tonight I'm mourning the loss of one of my social media "homes", a platform called GAB. For the past six years, I have posted there nearly every day. I have made a very good "in real life" friend through GAB, and she has been a blessing to my life. I have enjoyed the spiritual and political banter in which I have engaged. I have learned things I did not know, I have shared things I thought would help, and I have, most importantly, shared the Gospel with anyone who would receive it. I have stood for truth to the best of my ability and I have tried to glorify God with every word that I posted there. But it is looking more and more like my time there is coming to an end. AI is king over there, and I refuse to engage. The final straw for me was when it was announced that beginning in March 2024, the ability to post videos and images would go behind a paywall. While I am a supporter, it appears that my support is not enough and I will have to shell out more $$$ just to post a video of myself or my favorite preacher. I'm sad to read some of the hateful, anti-semitic comments posted by the founder, especially since he claims to belong to the LORD Jesus.
So I have invited others who are mourning this loss to come over to Cre8aplace. I hope at least some of them will come. I know you guys will welcome them as warmly as you have welcomed me.
