I went to walmart for the first time in months just the other day. I could not believe how they have changed the front of the store to only about four live cashiers. EVERYTHING ELSE IS SELF CHECKOUT. I went to one of the live cashiers, waited in a line, and had him check out my purchase. I told him that I was surprised at what they had done. He said it was for the customers convenience. I told him I doubt that...it is actually to save the company money from having to pay live cashiers. On my way out, there was a lady checking receipts. I did not stop to show her my receipt. Most people had to do the cashiers job at the self checkout, so why should they be insulted by having to prove that they did a cashiers job? Ridiculous.
