US President Joe Biden has faced criticism over his claims earlier this week that Israel’s Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu is not doing enough to help negotiate a ceasefire with Hamas. Reporters asked the President outside the White House on Monday, ‘Do you think it’s time for Prime Minister Netanyahu to do more on this issue? Do you think he’s doing enough?'. Mr Biden delivered a quick and blunt response, simply saying, ‘No’. Former foreign minister Alexander Downer said the comment from the US president was “unwise”. “I mean, it's just it's just fearful to watch and the constant attacking by the West on Prime Minister Netanyahu is really very, very unwise,” Mr Downer told Sky News host Chris Kenny.
