In the 80’s when we had the west coast dock strike it was no big deal. The ship owners ordered their Captains to steam south to Mexico. They unloaded the goods on trucks and the trucks drove north to the US border and delivered their goods a little late but the Walmarts had a Merry Christmas. Do the same again, take the ships to Mexico or Canada and unload there, no problem.
