Did Thomas Jefferson Believe In Some Form Of Theistic Evolution?
In a previous blogpost, I cited a section of a letter that Thomas Jefferson had written back to John Adams in April of 1823 in which he stated how impossible it was for someone, upon the study of nature, to not reach the conclusion that we are an act of creation that we owe our existence to a Creator [1] but in that letter he also mentioned something very curious which led me to wonder if Thomas Jefferson believed in some form of theistic evolution.
