I’ve planted pumpkins in my garden before. I was never able to get them to grow to a gigantic size, but they sure have a way of taking over and choking out your other garden plants if you are not careful where to place your pumpkins. One year, my pumpkin plants choked out two of my zucchini plants.

Most fruit is pretty small, so why do pumpkins grow to such enormous sizes?
