I was reminded today of a visit that I made to an office supply store back in November 2021. I was assisted by a very kind, very knowledgeable gentleman who helped me find exactly what I needed. As we began the checkout process, we chatted and he made a comment about how America has always been a patriarchal society, mostly dominated by white men. (Mind you, he was a white man with a wedding ring on his finger.) I shared with him that I'm ok with that. I believe in a patriarchal society, since my father was the head of our household, took care of his family, was faithful to his wife, and set up a legacy that will last into the next few generations. I left that store thinking how deep the deception is that has overtaken our society. We don't believe in the order that God ordained for us.
