I just completed an application for a position that I would REALLY love to have. It is in a Christian organization that I used to work for prior to covid. I have a contact on the inside who is working with me to try and get me in. Pray that this is the door that the LORD is opening for me! God has been good, and I do thank Him for His goodness...at the same time, I need a JOB!!!

I don't believe for a millisecond that no one knew what was going on with this man. At the very least, they should have not allowed him to continue in the pulpit after finding out that he was in an adulterous relationship.
This particular elder may not have known the whole story, but he was used as a pawn to speak to the church. He is the father of 6 daughters, so they put him up to prove how "sensitive" they are to the most vulnerable. The fact that this church has grown to this size proves that is a lie, bc no way would this church have grown if people knew that the pastor was a pedophile.
Also, the victim put out a statement through her lawyer that said she contacted the church on several occasions. They not only ignored her, they denied her requests and offered her peanuts if she would sign an NDA.
His entire ministry career needs to be investigated, bc I am certain there are other victims. I hope they come forward and I pray that God will heal them from what this monster did.
Robert Morris is DISQUALIFIED from ministry. Period.

I was on a radio talk program once when a caller asked, “Where did Cain get his wife?” I answered saying Cain’s wife was his sister. The next caller identified himself as an atheist and said, “If you believe that it’s incest and it’s immoral.” I’ve heard many atheists make that accusation over the years.

First, an atheist can’t make a moral judgment like that. If it was truly incest as we understand the word today, then why is incest immoral from an atheist’s perspective anyway? If there’s no God, no absolute authority, then “right” and “wrong” are subjective and can’t be treated as moral absolutes. Also, from an atheist evolutionist’s perspective, humans are just evolved animals, so they could have sexual relationships with anyone (or any animal) as there’s no such thing as marriage (or you define it any way you want), and morality is relative. And yet atheists try to claim Christians have a moral problem with Cain’s wife being his sister! They can’t see their own inconsistencies.

Now the word incest wasn’t even invented until the thirteenth century. It’s a modern word. But doesn’t the Bible forbid marriage between close relations? It does, but the laws against marrying family members were initially given as part of the Mosaic covenant, approximately 2,500 years after God created Adam and Eve. Due in part to genetic mistakes, these laws were necessary to help protect offspring from mutations shared by both parents.

In today’s world, close relations (e.g., brother and sister) marrying would be incest. But originally, there would have been no problem with it. Looking back through history, the closer we get to Adam and Eve, the fewer genetic mistakes people would have, so it would have been safer for close relatives to marry and have children.

Remember, we’re all one race, one family, all descendants of Adam and Eve. So we are all related. When you marry (one man for one woman), you marry your relation. We just don’t marry a close relation today.

Pastor Robert Morris is one of the most influential pastors in the world, leading a church that gathers about 100,000 congregants each week. Today, he resigned after an alleged victim accused him of molesting her when she was aged 12-16. He was a married father and pastor.

In response to her recently published story, he didn’t deny the accusations but rather described his behavior as “inappropriate sexual behavior with a young lady,” which implies a consensual interaction with an adult. But, in reality, if her testimony is true, he sexually assaulted a pre-teen and was never properly held to account for it.

The accuser told her parents in 1987, and her father went to Morris’s church leadership and urged them to remove Morris from his position. Morris stepped away from ministry for two years, then was restored as a pastor.

But, if her accusations are real, he never should have been restored. Child molestation isn’t just a sin, it’s a crime. This should’ve been handled by civil authorities, which God gave us to keep evil in check. Instead, it was brushed under the rug after he was “restored.”

Let’s set something straight: repentance and restoration does not include restoring an accused abuser to a leadership position (if, in fact, the claims against him prove true). He can be forgiven. He can be restored to the body of Christ. But he failed to fulfill the requirements for overseer God gives us in His Word, and his sin may have posed a real threat to vulnerable members of the flock. A person like this should NOT be a pastor again.

I pray for the alleged victim, Cindy, and her family, that they’d be met with peace. I pray for Gateway and its members, that they would cling to Jesus, who never changes, fails, or betrays us, and who is the sole author and finisher of the Christian’s faith. I pray for Morris, that God would humble him and that he’d walk in total honesty and repentance. I pray also for his family, that God would be near to them.

The accuser told her parents in 1987, and her father went to Morris’s church leadership and urged them to remove Morris from his position. Morris stepped away from ministry for two years, then was restored as a pastor. But, if her accusations are real, he never should have been restored. Child molestation isn’t just a sin, it’s a crime. This should’ve been handled by civil authorities, which God gave us to keep evil in check. Instead, it was brushed under the rug after he was “restored.” Let’s set something straight: repentance and restoration does not include restoring an accused abuser to a leadership position (if, in fact, the claims against him prove true). He can be forgiven. He can be restored to the body of Christ. But he failed to fulfill the requirements for overseer God gives us in His Word, and his sin may have posed a real threat to vulnerable members of the flock. A person like this should NOT be a pastor again. I pray for the alleged victim, Cindy, and her family, that they’d be met with peace. I pray for Gateway and its members, that they would cling to Jesus, who never changes, fails, or betrays us, and who is the sole author and finisher of the Christian’s faith. I pray for Morris, that God would humble him and that he’d walk in total honesty and repentance. I pray also for his family, that God would be near to them. Lots of lessons to be learned from this tragic story.
