• If you don't own a farm, or at least a decent garden these days, it is almost impossible to eat healthy. I grew up on a farm so I have a good foundation for my health, but I fear for my children, who grew up in the city and have no interest in gardening. Read through this entire thread. There is some good information here to help make some informed choices. So sad what the gov is trying to do American citizens.

  • Spring has brought some beautiful blooms of flowers and trees to Virginia. The bees have been busy with their pollination activities, spreading grains of yellow pollen into the air. The rains and increasing temperatures are promoting more growth this April, and soon there will be lush gardens filled with more of the returning perennial plants and new annuals.

  • Spring has sprung in Virginia as some warmer days have brought buds and flower blooms that are surviving the cold nights. My first bloom of the new year is a yellow daffodil opening in the orange glow of the setting sun.
