(NY Times) At least 16 other states are currently pushing to remove Donald Trump from the 2024 ballot following this week’s decision by the Colorado Supreme Court to disqualify Trump.
These 16 other states currently have pending legal challenges to Trump’s eligibility for office under the 14th Amendment. The lawsuits argue that he is barred because he engaged in an insurrection with his actions surrounding the Capitol riot on Jan. 6, 2021.
These include Michigan, Oregon, New Jersey, Wisconsin, Alaska, Arizona, Nevada, New York, New Mexico, South Carolina, Texas, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming and Maine.
