  • These comments were written on twitter by my brother in Christ, Darrell B. Harrison, but I totally and unapologetically approve of his message.
    ~~~
    The bigger issue here, in my opinion, isn't that Walz is a socialist—and so is Kamala Harris by virtue of her having chosen him as her running mate—but that people won't care that they are socialists (if not communists).
    That's the bigger issue here (as I see it).
    Many of Harris' supporters are so implausibly tunnel-visioned by their disdain, if not outright hatred, of Donald Trump, that they are willing to vote for themselves an America in which their individual rights and freedoms will be egregiously trampled upon—perhaps irreversibly—by the very people they elected to office—and all because they "don't like" Trump.
    This is the kind of emotional neurosis that destroys cultures. And lest you think my comments are pro-Trump, let me say unequivocally yet unapologetically, this isn't about Trump. This is about YOU—and your children, and your grandchildren, and their children and grandchildren.
    Consider this question: On principle alone are you so emotionally shallow as to allow your personal feelings for one man to outweigh the effects that a Harris-Walz administration will have on your future and those who will follow after you?
    If you can answer yes to that question, and you're a follower of mine on this platform, I respectfully ask that you please unfollow me.
  • The divine record of the fall of man is an unequivocal refutation of the Darwinian hypothesis of evolution. Instead of teaching that man began at the bottom of the moral ladder and is now slowly but surely climbing heavenwards, it declares that man began at the top and fell to the bottom.
    ~A. W. Pink, "Gleanings in Genesis"
  • Super bowl Sunday:
    From a Marine Corps Colonel in Afghanistan: "So with all the kindness I can muster, I give this one piece of advice to the next pop star who is asked to sing the national anthem at a sporting event: save the vocal gymnastics and the physical gyrations for your concerts. Just sing this song the way you were taught to sing it in kindergarten - straight up, no styling. "Sing it with the constant awareness that there are soldiers, sailors, airmen and Marines watching you from bases and outposts all over the world. Don't make them cringe with your self-centered ego gratification. Sing it as if you are standing before a row of 86-year-old WWII vets wearing their Purple Hearts, Silver Stars and flag pins on their cardigans and you want them to be proud of you for honoring them and the country they love - not because you want them to think you are a superstar musician. They could see that from your costume, makeup and your entourage. Sing 'The Star Spangled Banner' with the courtesy and humility that tells the audience that it is about America, not you."
  • Christians often comply with government dictates with which they disagree because Scripture tells us that all authority is established by God, and disobedience to such authority is disobedience toward God. Does this apply universally and unequivocally to all that government requires of us?
