  • You know WHY we're in this shitpot?
Because the Nature of Mankind NEVER changes.
There will ALWAYS be men trying to control everything for their own personal enrichment and men that oppose the controllers for the betterment of all.
NOTHING has changed in over 300,000 years.
ONLY the tools of the Oppressors and the Defenders have.
And NOBODY seems to understand or anticipate THAT.
Another thing that hasn't changed in over 300,000 years.
And the Chairman of the Board even sent one of His own People here a little over 2,000 years ago to experience THAT fact DIRECTLY and we failed THAT test too.
I can understand WHY He wants to scrap the ENTIRE Project and start over.
Over 300,000 years of NO improvement would even test a Guy that has Perfect Patience.

  • There's a famous story of Pablo Picasso.
He was enjoying a meal at a restaurant when a man interrupted him, handed him a napkin and asked:
“Could you sketch something for me? I’ll pay. Name your price.”
Picasso took the napkin, pulled a charcoal pencil from his pocket and started sketching. Using only a few strokes, he drew a goat that was unmistakably a Picasso. He held it up for the man to see.
The man smiled and reached to take the sketch. But Picasso withheld it.
“That will be $100,000.” Picasso said.
The man was astonished. “$100,000?! You drew that in 30 seconds!”
Picasso crumpled up the napkin and stuffed it in his pocket.
    “You're wrong.” he said.
“It's taken me 40 years to do that.”
    Know your worth.

  • We are embroiled in the Politics of Extremism where there is NO middle.
Only extremes on one side or the other.
Neither Bastiat nor any of the subsequent Communist/Socialists ever proposed a meaningful solution to the problem and subsequently, ALL forms of those Governments Failed.

While Capitalism in and of itself can be ruled by large monopolies and turn into a form of tyranny, Capitalism with some checks and balances seems to be the best form of Government so far.

However, Government in ANY form is antithetical to Freedom and Liberty.
That's why Franklin warned, "We have given you a Constitutional Republic. If you can keep it."
And Jefferson also warned that "Government not bound tightly by the chains of restraint imposed by the US Constitution will eventually become tyrannical and therefore, every measure to limit Governmental Power MUST be exercised by an involved people."

We dropped the ball and have no one to blame but ourselves.
We became complacent and lost interest in policing Government to be sure the chains that bind them remain secure and tightly bound.

    And here we are.
