Mark 8:38
Whosoever therefore shall be ashamed of Me and of My words in this adulterous and sinful generation; of him also shall the Son of man be ashamed, when He cometh in the glory of His Father with the holy angels.
Believers, as a part of the body of Christ and members of the family of God, it is our duty to let the world see us as part of God's family. We cannot allow our salvation to be hidden. We cannot be ashamed of righteous and Godly living, holy conversation, walking upright and being filled with the Holy Spirit of God. Being ashamed of these things means that we do not delight in them, and if we don't, I would question if we are really saved.
Matthew 5:14-15 says "Ye are the light of the world. A city that is set on an hill cannot be hid. Neither do men light a candle, and put it under a bushel, but on a candlestick; and it giveth light unto all that are in the house." If we were candles, and were ashamed of being a candles, we would hide our light. If we hid our light, what good would it do? Everyone would be in the dark; no one would benefit from the light that we could provide. The same is true for hiding our trust in the LORD Jesus Christ. If no one knows we are believers, what good does it do? We cannot help win souls to the kingdom if lost souls do not know we are part of the kingdom. We cannot stand in solidarity with other believers if they do not know we are part of the family of God.
Believers, let your light shine before men today! Be unashamed of being a child of the KING!!!
