- Psalm 2:10-11 (Legacy Standard Bible)
So now, O kings, show insight;
Take warning, O judges of the earth.
Serve Yahweh with fear
And rejoice with trembling.
It would do those in power well to use wisdom. There is no greater wisdom than knowing the LORD Jesus in a saving relationship. Psalm 111:10 says, "The fear of Yahweh is the beginning of wisdom..." Those without a relationship with the LORD do not have the wisdom that it takes to please Him. They will maneuver this life doing things their way because they cannot do anything else. They cannot go to Him in prayer and have Him lead them. They would be wise to submit to Him in saving faith and serve Him in complete submission.
As we look around at the trouble our world is in, it is obvious that not many, if any, of our leaders are submitted totally to the LORD Jesus. It appears that that mankind's hatred for the Savior is a requirement for being successful in any kind of leadership on this earth. But there will come a day when every leader will stand before the LORD. If they have submitted to Him on this earth, He will say to them, "Well done, good and faithful servant...." (Matthew 25:23). If they have not submitted to Him on this earth, He will say to them, "Depart from Me..." (Matthew 25:41). Their eternal fate is on the line! It would do them well to submit to Him, and soon.
Believers, let's pray for those who have rule over us. We are to render to them what is due them (Romans 13:7), and it is always a good idea to lift them up in prayer, asking the LORD to save them and use them as instruments of righteousness in His hand.Psalm 2:10-11 (Legacy Standard Bible) So now, O kings, show insight; Take warning, O judges of the earth. - Not sure why the actress should give back her oscar for her oscar-winning performance just because the subject of the movie wakes up on the wrong side of the bed one morning.
