Jesus in commending John the Baptist, made it clear in the verse that John was not like a reed shaken by the wind. In other words, John was not shaken in his doctrine and purpose by outward circumstances or the changes in culture. He steadfastly held to the truth of God’s word and stood in His righteousness.
