Dad - Tom Franklin, USAF T-4, telecommunications / electrician specialist. WWII, reconstruction in France. He was on a ship to France - docking there as WWII was ended. He was just a young man of 18 yrs old or so. I'm thankful that he did not have to serve in combat.
