At the age of 44, Riste Trajkovski, the man who took care of the giraffes in the Skopje Zoo and who, with his unusual attitude towards exotic animals, was an inspiration for the people of Skopje, passed away. To make the tragedy even greater, a few hours later the last giraffe in the zoo, the ten-year-old Floppy, also passed away.
