Pat Condell on Gab: 'The UK is being invaded, but the enemy is not a foreign entity. It’s our own government. If we were in any doubt, the Starmer riots removed it. A few weeks ago we elected a new government because we get a free democratic choice every five years or so. Red uniparty or blue uniparty. Some people are stubbornly loyal to one or other of those colours, but most people can be persuaded either way. This time we chose the red uniparty, just for a change. Well, twenty percent of us did. It wasn’t a great turnout. There was no real enthusiasm. Nobody was voting for a bright new tomorrow. It was more like shifting yourself on an uncomfortable chair because one of your arse cheeks has gone numb. Just a few weeks in and already they’ve destroyed public confidence in the justice system and made themselves and our country a global laughing stock. We knew it would happen eventually. After all, they’ve got five years to destroy everything good about the UK. But we didn’t think it would happen this quickly. They’ve certainly hit the ground running. The Starmer riots (and yes, they are his riots - he could have prevented them and he owns them) happened because years of public anger and frustration over mass immigration and illegal immigration have been ignored by the uniparty. Any spark could have triggered it. Every day boatloads of military age foreign men are coming into our country illegally, and people are rightly angry about it. Starmer should have had the wisdom to acknowledge that and to assure us that he would do something about it. It would have defused all the violence. It was his moment to show us who he is. He showed us, all right. Instead of tamping it down, he fanned the flames of public anger by refusing to acknowledge the problem and by smearing people who are deeply worried about their children’s future as far-right thugs. Every time he opened his mouth he doubled down and made the situation worse, and the whole country recoiled in horror and cringe at the calibre of what we had ‘elected.’ When asked about immigration, he ignored the question and talked about jailing people. With blockheaded stubbornness he blamed everybody but himself for the violence. He blamed Elon Musk for allowing free speech on X and for rightly mocking him. He blamed the English Defence League, which hasn’t existed for more than a decade. And of course he blamed Tommy Robinson who consistently urged non-violence and peaceful protest, and who pleaded with people to remain calm. They’ll probably arrest him and try to lock him up for it, but the evidence is on video. He did nothing wrong. If Starmer takes this boneheaded attitude on to the world stage we’ll be at war with Russia before we know it. Naturally, the media are running cover for him, as if anybody cares what they say any more. Thanks to the internet, Starmer is now exposed to the world as an tin-eared authoritarian, and the UK is exposed as a virtual police state with a corrupted justice system that jails people for social media posts while violent criminals are released early to make room for them. Foreign tourists are having second thoughts about coming here, and who can blame them? This is what Starmer has achieved in just five weeks. Imagine what he can do in five years.'
