So, during the sermon today, the pastor talked about how the earth and heavens will be destroyed with a fervent heat and the sound that will be very loud. He mentioned maybe it will be an atomic bomb. I disagree. And this thought hit me today during the sermon. After the 1000 year reign, the Bible does say that the earth and heavens will be burned and destroyed. But look...the Bible says that in Heaven, there will be no need for the sun nor the moon as God Himself will be the light. Look at how different our sun looks now as compared to just 20 years ago. It's almost white. I think that after the 1000 year reign, the sun will literally explode and that will cause the earth and heavens to melt with a fervent heat. Imagine how it will sound if the sun explodes. And it's so large that it will destroy everything in the heavens. Of course, we will be under God's protection as we will be in Heaven. Regardless, God created the universe and everything in it, so He can destroy it in whatever way He sees fit. If there is no need for a sun and moon, then I could see Him destroying them.
