Unlocking longevity and health with enzymes: Dr. Edward Howell’s “Enzyme Nutrition”
Dr. Edward Howell’s “Enzyme Nutrition: The Food Enzyme Concept” reveals that lifespan is inversely related to enzyme depletion. Conserving enzyme potential – through raw foods or supplementation – supports longevity and metabolic health. Cooking destroys enzymes, forcing the body to overproduce digestive enzymes and straining the pancreas. Raw foods preserve enzymes, aiding digestion and freeing […]

  • Heard Joe Luter passed away. For those who do not know him, he was the head of Smithfield Foods for many years, a company l worked at for about a decade. Though l did not know Mr Luter personally, l saw him a lot when l worked there.
The man was worth hundreds of millions. Now other people will inherit what he left. When a well known rich person dies, and it happens often, it is a reminder that the rich and poor have the same ending, death. However our souls live on. Jesus gave a parable about a rich man and a poor man, both of whom died. One went to hell and the other was in paradise, in Abraham’s bosom as the Lord described it. What do you stand before God? Have you believed on Jesus? Is Christ your Lord and Savior? No better time than now to turn to Christ for salvation while you still have breathe. I saw this scripture this weekend in 2 Corinthians 6:2b. Take heed to it if you are uncertain of your salvation.

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

  • While you’re still debating if insects will be part of our future diet, you’ve already been eating crickets and larvae for over a year — disguised as your favorite foods.

Corporate translation: “We add insect flour to products, but call it ‘alternative protein’.”

    Company #1: Barilla (pasta)
Since 2023, the premium pasta line contains “plant protein” — in reality, it’s cricket flour from farms in Thailand.
Official reason: “To increase nutritional value.”
Real reason: insects cost 3x less than meat with the same protein content.

Company #2: Beyond Meat (plant-based meat)
“100% plant-based” patties contain protein from mealworm larvae. Listed as “pea protein isolate” — a technical loophole.
Larvae are raised on pea waste, processed into protein concentrate. Technically still a plant-based product.

Company #3: Red Bull (energy drinks)
The red dye carminic acid comes from crushed female cochineal insects — about 70,000 bugs per liter.
It’s been used for 150 years, but now they also add chitin from shells “to improve taste,” listed as “natural flavors.”

Company #4: Ferrero (Nutella chocolate spread)
Since 2024, Nutella contains black soldier fly larvae flour to reduce cocoa costs. Masked as “mineral enrichment.”
Insects are high in iron and zinc — technically true, but you’re buying chocolate and getting bugs.

    Company #5: PepsiCo (Lay’s chips)
“Natural flavoring” in some chips is actually extracts from grasshoppers and locusts. Brings umami taste without MSG.
Produced in Mexico, where locusts are a traditional food — but that’s never mentioned in local marketing.

    How to spot it
Look for: “hydrolyzed protein,” “natural flavors,” “alternative proteins,” “mineral complexes.”
Avoid products with “new formula” labels without explanation.

    Why they hide it
Goal — to slowly normalize insect consumption through unnoticed integration.

Read ingredient lists. Buy from small producers. Avoid “innovative” products from global brands.

  • Brethren, are you bearing fruit for God? We were joined to Christ for this purpose (Rom. 7:4). He chose us for this (Jn. 15:16), and if we abide in Him, we will bear fruit (Jn. 15:5). There is more than one way in which the metaphor of fruit is used, including that of being used to bring others to Christ. The most evident in our everyday lives, however, are the fruits of the Spirit, which are "love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control" (Gal. 5:22). This fruit is sweet, and those of us who know God have tasted and know that the Lord is good (Ps. 34:8).
    ----------

    Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, August 25

"His fruit was sweet to my taste." Song of Solomon 2:3

Faith, in the Scripture, is spoken of under the emblem of all the senses. It is sight: "Look unto me and be ye saved." It is hearing: "Hear, and your soul shall live." Faith is smelling: "All thy garments smell of myrrh, and aloes, and cassia"; "thy name is as ointment poured forth." Faith is spiritual touch. By this faith the woman came behind and touched the hem of Christ's garment, and by this we handle the things of the good word of life. Faith is equally the spirit's taste. "How sweet are Thy words to my taste! yea, sweeter than honey to my lips." "Except a man eat my flesh," saith Christ, "and drink my blood, there is no life in him."

This "taste" is faith in one of its highest operations. One of the first performances of faith is hearing. We hear the voice of God, not with the outward ear alone, but with the inward ear; we hear it as God's Word, and we believe it to be so; that is the "hearing" of faith. Then our mind looketh upon the truth as it is presented to us; that is to say, we understand it, we perceive its meaning; that is the "seeing" of faith. Next we discover its preciousness; we begin to admire it, and find how fragrant it is; that is faith in its " smell." Then we appropriate the mercies which are prepared for us in Christ; that is faith in its "touch." Hence follow the enjoyments, peace, delight, communion; which are faith in its "taste." Any one of these acts of faith is saving. To hear Christ's voice as the sure voice of God in the soul will save us; but that which gives true enjoyment is the aspect of faith wherein Christ, by holy taste, is received into us, and made, by inward and spiritual apprehension of His sweetness and preciousness, to be the food of our souls. It is then we sit "under His shadow with great delight," and find His fruit sweet to our taste.

  • Seeking God is never a vain pursuit. He told Israel, "You will seek Me and find Me when you search for Me with all your heart" (Jeremiah 29:13). Regarding our needs, food, drink, clothing, Jesus said, "But seek first His kingdom and His righteousness, and all these things will be added to you" (Matthew 6:33). God will not turn away those who seek Him wholeheartedly. If we truly seek Him, we will find Him, and He will change our hearts and meet our needs.

    Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotions

    Evening, August 21

"I said not unto the seed of Jacob, Seek ye Me in vain." Isaiah 45:19

We may gain much solace by considering what God has not said. What He has said is inexpressibly full of comfort and delight; what He has not said is scarcely less rich in consolation. It was one of these "said nots" which preserved the kingdom of Israel in the days of Jeroboam the son of Joash, for "the Lord said not that He would blot out the name of Israel from under heaven." 2 Kings 14:27. In our text we have an assurance that God will answer prayer, because He hath "not said unto the seed of Israel, Seek ye Me in vain." You who write bitter things against yourselves should remember that, let your doubts and fears say what they will, if God has not cut you off from mercy, there is no room for despair: even the voice of conscience is of little weight if it be not seconded by the voice of God. What God has said, tremble at! But suffer not your vain imaginings to overwhelm you with despondency and sinful despair. Many timid persons have been vexed by the suspicion that there may be something in God's decree which shuts them out from hope, but here is a complete refutation to that troublesome fear, for no true seeker can be decreed to wrath. "I have not spoken in secret, in a dark place of the earth; I have not said," even in the secret of my unsearchable decree, "Seek ye Me in vain." God has clearly revealed that He will hear the prayer of those who call upon Him, and that declaration cannot be contravened. He has so firmly, so truthfully, so righteously spoken, that there can be no room for doubt. He does not reveal His mind in unintelligible words, but He speaks plainly and positively, "Ask, and ye shall receive." Believe, O trembler, this sure truth- that prayer must and shall be heard, and that never, even in the secrets of eternity, has the Lord said unto any living soul, "Seek ye Me in vain."

  • Ok. Now let's do AMERICA.
I don't understand why the American government allows the fake, bioengineered garbage that we buy in the grocery store. Two of my daughters have traveled internationally and they both tell me how the countries where they have visited do not allow MOST of the garbage that we consume into their countries. I don't get it! It almost makes me think that the American government is trying to either make us sick and simply kill us through the food we ingest.

  • Jesus is the good Shepherd, and the good Shepherd cares for and feeds His sheep by God’s strength. He offers us never-ending nourishment if we but feed from His hand. Would you rather dine on the world’s fare of junk food that, while it may taste good and satisfy for a time, leaves you longing for more and losing your health? Or will you instead feed on the true bread of life, that which the Shepherd offers and which satisfies permanently and results in eternal well-being? Be not burdened and bloated by the cares of this world, but receive your sustenance from He who gave Himself up for you, and take heart in that nourishment so you may say with the Apostle Paul, “I can do all things through Him who strengthens me.” (Phil. 4:13)

    —————————

    Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, August 19

"He shall stand and feed in the strength of the Lord." Micah 5:4

Christ's reign in His Church is that of a shepherd-king. He has supremacy, but it is the superiority of a wise and tender shepherd over his needy and loving flock; He commands and receives obedience, but it is the willing obedience of the well-cared-for sheep, rendered joyfully to their beloved Shepherd, whose voice they know so well. He rules by the force of love and the energy of goodness.

His reign is practical in its character. It is said, "He shall stand and feed." The great Head of the Church is actively engaged in providing for His people. He does not sit down upon the throne in empty state, or hold a sceptre without wielding it in government. No, He stands and feeds. The expression "feed," in the original, is like an analogous one in the Greek, which means to shepherdize, to do everything expected of a shepherd: to guide, to watch, to preserve, to restore, to tend, as well as to feed.

His reign is continual in its duration. It is said, "He shall stand and feed"; not "He shall feed now and then, and leave His position"; not, "He shall one day grant a revival, and then next day leave His Church to barrenness." His eyes never slumber, and His hands never rest; His heart never ceases to beat with love, and His shoulders are never weary of carrying His people's burdens.

His reign is effectually powerful in its action"; "He shall feed in the strength of Jehovah." Wherever Christ is, there is God; and whatever Christ does is the act of the Most High. Oh! it is a joyful truth to consider that He who stands today representing the interests of His people is very God of very God, to whom every knee shall bow. Happy are we who belong to such a shepherd, whose humanity communes with us, and whose divinity protects us. Let us worship and bow down before Him as the people of His pasture.

  • Christian, are you setting aside time each day to spend with God in prayer and meditating on His word? Or do you fritter away your free moments with trivial tasks and meaningless minutiae? Set aside a few moments alone to commune with God, as even Jesus did. The benefits you will reap are immeasurable!
    -----------

    Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, August 15

"Isaac went out to meditate in the field at the eventide." Genesis 24:63

Very admirable was his occupation. If those who spend so many hours in idle company, light reading, and useless pastimes, could learn wisdom, they would find more profitable society and more interesting engagements in meditation than in the vanities which now have such charms for them. We should all know more, live nearer to God, and grow in grace, if we were more alone. Meditation chews the cud and extracts the real nutriment from the mental food gathered elsewhere. When Jesus is the theme, meditation is sweet indeed. Isaac found Rebecca while engaged in private musings; many others have found their best beloved there.

Very admirable was the choice of place. In the field we have a study hung round with texts for thought. From the cedar to the hyssop, from the soaring eagle down to the chirping grasshopper, from the blue expanse of heaven to a drop of dew, all things are full of teaching, and when the eye is divinely opened, that teaching flashes upon the mind far more vividly than from written books. Our little rooms are neither so healthy, so suggestive, so agreeable, or so inspiring as the fields. Let us count nothing common or unclean, but feel that all created things point to their Maker, and the field will at once be hallowed.

Very admirable was the season. The season of sunset as it draws a veil over the day, befits that repose of the soul when earthborn cares yield to the joys of heavenly communion. The glory of the setting sun excites our wonder, and the solemnity of approaching night awakens our awe. If the business of this day will permit it, it will be well, dear reader, if you can spare an hour to walk in the field at eventide, but if not, the Lord is in the town too, and will meet with thee in thy chamber or in the crowded street. Let thy heart go forth to meet Him.

The world will devolve into a a place where our time is spent in virtual worlds in order to escape the hell-on-earth real one. What the real world will look like from Stay Slick

What this will look like from Stay Slick:

In the Technate’s framework, money is secondary to control. It’s not about wealth—it’s about governance through engineered scarcity, algorithmic management, and total control over participation.

    -No elections. Just platform governance.

    -No citizenship. Just digital access.

-No rights. Just Terms of Service.

You do not vote, you subscribe. You do not have rights, you have privileges that can be revoked. You do not have representation, you have AI-led arbitration.

    A world where:

-Housing, food, and healthcare exist—but only within their network.

-Your participation in society depends on your compliance.

-Every transaction, every movement, every thought is recorded and scored.

  • Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotions

    Evening, August 4

"I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands." Haggai 2:17

How destructive is the hail to the standing crops, beating out the precious grain upon the ground! How grateful ought we to be when the corn is spared so terrible a ruin! Let us offer unto the Lord thanksgiving. Even more to be dreaded are those mysterious destroyers- smut, bunt, rust, and mildew. These turn the ear into a mass of soot, or render it putrid, or dry up the grain, and all in a manner so beyond all human control that the farmer is compelled to cry, "This is the finger of God." Innumerable minute fungi cause the mischief, and were it not for the goodness of God, the rider on the black horse would soon scatter famine over the land. Infinite mercy spares the food of men, but in view of the active agents which are ready to destroy the harvest, right wisely are we taught to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread." The curse is abroad; we have constant need of the blessing. When blight and mildew come they are chastisements from heaven, and men must learn to hear the rod, and Him that hath appointed it.

Spiritually, mildew is no uncommon evil. When our work is most promising this blight appears. We hoped for many conversions, and lo! a general apathy, an abounding worldliness, or a cruel hardness of heart! There may be no open sin in those for whom we are labouring, but there is a deficiency of sincerity and decision sadly disappointing our desires. We learn from this our dependence upon the Lord, and the need of prayer that no blight may fall upon our work. Spiritual pride or sloth will soon bring upon us the dreadful evil, and only the Lord of the harvest can remove it. Mildew may even attack our own hearts, and shrivel our prayers and religious exercises. May it please the great Husbandman to avert so serious a calamity. Shine, blessed Sun of Righteousness, and drive the blights away.

"So she gleaned in the field until even." Ruth 2:17

Let me learn from Ruth, the gleaner. As she went out to gather the ears of corn, so must I go forth into the fields of prayer, meditation, the ordinances, and hearing the word to gather spiritual food. The gleaner gathers her portion ear by ear"; her gains are little by little: so must I be content to search for single truths, if there be no greater plenty of them. Every ear helps to make a bundle, and every gospel lesson assists in making us wise unto salvation. The gleaner keeps her eyes open: if she stumbled among the stubble in a dream, she would have no load to carry home rejoicingly at eventide. I must be watchful in religious exercises lest they become unprofitable to me; I fear I have lost much already- O that I may rightly estimate my opportunities, and glean with greater diligence. The gleaner stoops for all she finds, and so must I. High spirits criticize and object, but lowly minds glean and receive benefit. A humble heart is a great help towards profitably hearing the gospel. The engrafted soul-saving word is not received except with meekness. A stiff back makes a bad gleaner; down, master pride, thou art a vile robber, not to be endured for a moment. What the gleaner gathers she holds: if she dropped one ear to find another, the result of her day's work would be but scant; she is as careful to retain as to obtain, and so at last her gains are great. How often do I forget all that I hear; the second truth pushes the first out of my head, and so my reading and hearing end in much ado about nothing! Do I feel duly the importance of storing up the truth? A hungry belly makes the gleaner wise; if there be no corn in her hand, there will be no bread on her table; she labours under the sense of necessity, and hence her tread is nimble and her grasp is firm; I have even a greater necessity, Lord, help me to feel it, that it may urge me onward to glean in fields which yield so plenteous a reward to diligence.
