Trigger warning - rant coming! While I love how evocative this style of imagery is, I'm bothered by how it's interpreted by some. I actually like this red, white, and blue theme much better than the red wave theme. This theme evokes (in me) the idea that America is metaphorically rolling across the seas, reasserting itself as the avatar of global leadership through moral strength, resolve, freedom from oppression, our Founder's vision. The red wave implies a conservative or Republican tsunami, which this past election was not. Trump won the popular vote by a 2.1% margin of the electorate (75,521,297 vs 72,375,536). The total vote count of 147,896,833 is only 55% of our 330M population. This could be called a conservative or Republican mandate, but it's definitely not a national mandate. We know the leftists, corporatists, and globalists that have taken over the commanding heights and levers of power of our social institutions (academia, media, the GOP and DNC, the Deep State, etc) aren't going to give up without a fight. We'll be lucky to rollback the current state of government to the 80s, much less the 50s or the pre-Progressive, pre-Woodrow Wilson era of the 1900s. The current state of affairs is well over a century in the making; this is going to require the resolve of generations to unwind. The terms red wave and mandate are wishful thinking, at best. It's time for serious thinking and language that reflects realistic expectations. Rant over. Have a GREAT day! 🙂

PRESIDENT TRUMP video! THE END OF THE DEEP STATE: President Trump’s Plan to Dismantle the Deep State and Return Power to the American People. Here's my plan to dismantle the deep state and reclaim our democracy from Washington corruption once and for all, and corruption it is. First, I will immediately re-issue my 2020 Executive Order restoring the President's authority to remove rogue bureaucrats. And I will wield that power very aggressively. Second, we will clean out all of the corrupt actors in our National Security and Intelligence apparatus, and there are plenty of them. The departments and agencies that have been weaponized will be completely overhauled so that faceless bureaucrats will never again be able to target and persecute conservatives, Christians, or the left's political enemies, which they're doing now at a level that nobody can believe even possible. Third, we will totally reform FISA courts which are so corrupt that the judges seemingly do not care when they are lied to in warrant applications. So many judges have seen so many applications that they know were wrong, or at least they must have known. They do nothing about it, they're lied to. Fourth, to expose the hoaxes and abuses of power that have been tearing our country apart, we will establish a Truth and Reconciliation Commission to declassify and publish all documents on Deep State spying, censorship, and corruption, and there are plenty of them. Fifth, we will launch a major crackdown on government leakers who collude with the fake news to deliberately weave false narratives and to subvert our government and our democracy. When possible, we will press criminal charges. Sixth, we will make every Inspector General's Office independent and physically separated from the departments they oversee so they do not become the protectors of the Deep State. Seventh, I will ask Congress to establish an independent auditing system to continually monitor our intelligence agencies to ensure they are not spying on our citizens or running disinformation campaigns against the American people, or that they are not spying on someone's campaign like they spied on my campaign. Eighth, we will continue the effort launched by the Trump administration to move parts of the sprawling federal bureaucracy to new locations outside the Washington Swamp. Just as I moved the Bureau of Land Management to Colorado, as many as 100,000 government positions can be moved out. And I mean immediately out of Washington to places filled with patriots who love America, and they really do love America. Ninth, I will work to ban federal bureaucrats from taking jobs at the companies they deal with and that they regulate. So they deal with these companies and they regulate these companies and then they want to take jobs from these companies. Doesn't work that way—such a public display cannot go on and it's taking place all the time, like with Big Pharma. Finally, I will push a constitutional amendment to impose term limits on members of Congress. A Twitter post by Darrell Harrison I have some close friends who, for personal reasons, are conflicted about voting for Donald Trump. I voted for him. And though, as with any candidate running for political office, there is much to be desired about Trump, both as a man and a presidential candidate in terms of his policies, I found these words from an 1876 speech by former slave and abolitionist Frederick Douglass, titled Oration in Memory of Abraham Lincoln, to be helpful to me personally: "Though he [Lincoln] loved Caesar less than Rome, though the Union was more to him than our freedom or our future, under his wise and beneficent rule we saw ourselves gradually lifted from the depths of slavery to the heights of liberty and manhood; under his wise and beneficent rule, and by measures approved and vigorously pressed by him, we saw that the handwriting of ages, in the form of prejudice and proscription, was rapidly fading away from the face of our whole country . . . We saw Abraham Lincoln, after giving slaveholders three months' grace in which to save their hateful slave system, penning the immortal paper [Emancipation Proclamation], which though special in its language, was general in its principles and effect, making slavery forever impossible in the United States. Though we waited long, we saw all this and more." Keep in mind that Douglass was no great admirer of Lincoln. He knew that on the issue of slavery Lincoln was not an abolitionist. In fact, in that same speech, he said, "You [white people] are the children of Abraham Lincoln. We [black people] are at best only his step-children." My point is that though Lincoln, in totality, was not the kind of president Douglass wished him to be, he was nevertheless an ardent supporter of Lincoln knowing that, though he had to "wait long," Lincoln was the right candidate to support.
