  • I’m disappointed in the MAHA and Kennedy not being more vocal about getting High Fructose Corn Syrup out of our processed food. The epidemic of diabetes is caused by using high fructose in all of our processed foods and drinks. Why is Kennedy radio silent about that…….Oh, I forgot the corn farmers need help (big business). So we get diabetes, and our cars burn gas mixed with Ethanol which causes our cars to get horrible mileage. Ethanol just takes up space in a gallon of gas, it doesn’t boost octane.

  • By now, everyone in tune with immigration enforcement and crackdown is aware it does not matter who or what industry it is, there is no more blind eye, no more complacency for immigrants in this country illegally. INS does not care or buy into the narrative that immigrants are good for our “diverse” culture and take jobs that poeple (no specific race) won’t do. The lettuce growing farmers have then but one choice. Invest in Robots. Invest in and use Robots with AI to trudge into the fields of crops and pick the lettuce. With night vision, infrared sensors, AI, and onboard analyzing sensors, battery packs, and connected computer control the only limit is their onboard power supply as to how long they can work. They can work in heat cold, rain, day or night and need only recharge their batteries. It’s not coming it’s here.

  • Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotions

    Evening, August 4

"I smote you with blasting and with mildew and with hail in all the labours of your hands." Haggai 2:17

How destructive is the hail to the standing crops, beating out the precious grain upon the ground! How grateful ought we to be when the corn is spared so terrible a ruin! Let us offer unto the Lord thanksgiving. Even more to be dreaded are those mysterious destroyers- smut, bunt, rust, and mildew. These turn the ear into a mass of soot, or render it putrid, or dry up the grain, and all in a manner so beyond all human control that the farmer is compelled to cry, "This is the finger of God." Innumerable minute fungi cause the mischief, and were it not for the goodness of God, the rider on the black horse would soon scatter famine over the land. Infinite mercy spares the food of men, but in view of the active agents which are ready to destroy the harvest, right wisely are we taught to pray, "Give us this day our daily bread." The curse is abroad; we have constant need of the blessing. When blight and mildew come they are chastisements from heaven, and men must learn to hear the rod, and Him that hath appointed it.

Spiritually, mildew is no uncommon evil. When our work is most promising this blight appears. We hoped for many conversions, and lo! a general apathy, an abounding worldliness, or a cruel hardness of heart! There may be no open sin in those for whom we are labouring, but there is a deficiency of sincerity and decision sadly disappointing our desires. We learn from this our dependence upon the Lord, and the need of prayer that no blight may fall upon our work. Spiritual pride or sloth will soon bring upon us the dreadful evil, and only the Lord of the harvest can remove it. Mildew may even attack our own hearts, and shrivel our prayers and religious exercises. May it please the great Husbandman to avert so serious a calamity. Shine, blessed Sun of Righteousness, and drive the blights away.

  • He was led away as a lamb to the slaughter. Not like a farmer taking his sheep to be butchered for meat, but like the Old Testament priest taking the scapegoat to the tabernacle so the sins of the nation could be laid on its head. Our sins were laid upon Jesus so that, on the cross, He could carry them away. Only through faith in Him can you receive the redemption found in having Him take your sin upon Himself.

    Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, April 3

"They took Jesus, and led Him away." John 19:16

He had been all night in agony, He had spent the early morning at the hall of Caiaphas, He had been hurried from Caiaphas to Pilate, from Pilate to Herod, and from Herod back again to Pilate; He had, therefore, but little strength left, and yet neither refreshment nor rest were permitted Him. They were eager for His blood, and therefore led Him out to die, loaded with the cross. O dolorous procession! Well may Salem's daughters weep. My soul, do thou weep also.

What learn we here as we see our blessed Lord led forth? Do we not perceive that truth which was set forth in shadow by the scapegoat? Did not the high-priest bring the scapegoat, and put both his hands upon its head, confessing the sins of the people, that thus those sins might be laid upon the goat, and cease from the people? Then the goat was led away by a fit man into the wilderness, and it carried away the sins of the people, so that if they were sought for they could not be found. Now we see Jesus brought before the priests and rulers, who pronounce Him guilty; God Himself imputes our sins to Him, "the Lord hath laid on Him the iniquity of us all;" "He was made sin for us;" and, as the substitute for our guilt, bearing our sin upon His shoulders, represented by the cross; we see the great Scapegoat led away by the appointed officers of justice. Beloved, can you feel assured that He carried your sin? As you look at the cross upon His shoulders, does it represent your sin? There is one way by which you can tell whether He carried your sin or not. Have you laid your hand upon His head, confessed your sin, and trusted in Him? Then your sin lies not on you; it has all been transferred by blessed imputation to Christ, and He bears it on His shoulder as a load heavier than the cross.

Let not the picture vanish till you have rejoiced in your own deliverance, and adored the loving Redeemer upon whom your iniquities were laid.
