I passed by a church in downtown Staunton Va last night and noticed on the church’s outside message board “Jesus”as the sermon topic for this Sunday’s service. I sincerely hope that the Jesus revealed in scriptures is what is spoken on Sunday. Any other Jesus is a false gospel and Paul’s warning applies in that case: “But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed.” ‭‭Galatians‬ ‭1‬:‭8‬ ‭NKJV‬‬

It is disturbing to see folks on social media that l am acquainted with, who offer prayer requests, will like godly sayings l post, and post scriptures, congratulate a homosexual and his partner for their same sex wedding. That is sad indeed and goes against God’s word.

This is in regards to the church l pastor. Let all who read this remember that we are a local church, a body of believers who meet twice a week. We do so, because God in His word has commanded us to. Hebrews 10:24,25. We operate as a local church should in accordance with the scriptures. We worship, pray, and hear the word of God together when we meet as scripture teaches. God is honored in us being together. Anybody that does not like this set up may want to unfriend us, or not send us a friend request. We stand by what we do.

I think I shared with you guys that I am teaching the ladies Bible study at my church through the book of James. I have found so much meat in the scriptures, and I have also found several doctrinally sound theologians who have done extensive study in this profound book.
