Psalm 9:5-6
You have rebuked the nations, You have made the wicked perish;
You have blotted out their name forever and ever.

The enemy has come to an end in perpetual ruins,
And You have uprooted the cities;
The very memory of them has perished.

God's justice will proceed over the wicked no matter what. They will perish at His hand. His vengeance will be had against those who rebel against Him. He has the power to exact His vengeance in any way, shape or form that He chooses. He can rain down fire and brimstone like He did in Sodom and Gomorrah. He can bring nations into captivity the way He did in Babylon. He can bring plagues and pestilences the way He has done in the era of grace. He is God and His sovereignty has no limit.

David recognized His power over the enemy and exalted Him for it. He knew that God was just and within His rights to destroy any enemy that He chose. King David and the nation of Israel had many enemies, and these enemies were not simply people who did not like the king; they were people who hated the God of Israel, the true King. God's enemies always waste their time attempting to defeat Him. He has all power and has defeated death, hell, the grave and all His enemies.

If you are reading these words and have not repented of your life of sin, please know that you will come face to face with the God of Israel one day. If you have not repented and submitted your life to Him, He will cast you away from Him into hell as the penalty for your sins. If you do repent and submit to Him, He will welcome you into His eternal kingdom where you will enjoy indescribable pleasures for ever. The choice is yours. Choose wisely. Romans 10:9-13
