  • The Celestial Stallion

    In the ancient lands where the sky meets the earth, there was a legendary horse named Awen. His coat was as dark as the midnight sky, and his body was adorned with glowing symbols, marks of a spiritual connection to the stars above. It was said that Awen was the descendant of the first horses, the ones who were born from the stars to guide the spirits of the earth.

    On the night of the Great Alignment, when the stars aligned perfectly with the mountain peaks, Awen would stand alone on the highest cliff, his body glowing with the colors of the cosmos. The glowing symbols on his body were said to be ancient constellations, and each one represented a different element of life — the sun, the moon, the earth, the spirit. It was through these symbols that Awen connected with the universe, acting as a bridge between the celestial and earthly realms.

    This night, the air was thick with magic, and the sky shimmered with the light of countless stars. Awen stood proudly, his mane flowing like the river of time, while a stream of glowing energy moved across the land. As the moon rose high above, he let out a soft whinny, and the ground beneath his hooves began to glow in response. It was the sacred path of his ancestors, a path that led toward the unknown, a path of discovery.

    As Awen trotted forward, the trail of stardust behind him formed a glowing river, flowing through the valley like a beam of light. The people, the animals, and the spirits watched in awe, for they knew this was a journey that could only be taken by one chosen by the stars.

    Awen's journey was not just a physical one, but a spiritual journey. He carried the hopes, dreams, and wisdom of all who had come before him. The night was his canvas, and the stars, his guide. As the glowing symbols danced on his body, they painted a story of life, of connection, of light and shadow — a reminder that we are all part of the same cosmic dance, guided by the spirit of the earth and the stars.

  • Whispers of the Wolf Spirit

    As the sun sank into the cradle of the mountains, fire-kissing the lake with its final breath, a woman stood in stillness by the shore. Her name was Nayeli—“I love you” in the old tongue—and she was known as the Keeper of Echoes.

    She wore robes etched with birds of the sky and dreams of the forest. Her heartbeat moved in rhythm with the earth, and her breath rose and fell with the wind. At her side stood the wolf—silent, fierce, eternal. His name was Shunkaha, the Spirit Who Walks Between.

    Nayeli was born under a moon that wept rain and stars, a sign that she would speak not only with people but with the wild. From a young age, animals came to her like old friends returning home. The hawk circled above her. The deer bowed before her. And the wolf... the wolf never left her side.

    It was said her voice could calm storms, and that when she closed her eyes at dusk, she listened to the voices of her ancestors through the howls of the pack. She did not command the wolf. She listened. She did not rule the wild. She walked with it.

    One day, a drought came—drying rivers, silencing birdsong, cracking the land’s memory. While many prayed, Nayeli acted. With Shunkaha at her side, she followed the old canoe trails into forgotten forest paths. There, she sang the sacred songs—songs her grandmother once whispered over firelight.

    And the land listened.

    The rains returned. The lakes filled. The trees bowed low with new leaves. And on nights like this, when the sun melts into water and wolves stand guard at the edge of dreams, the elders smile and say:

    “Nayeli walks with the wolf still. And in her silence, the world remembers how to breathe.”

  • "Pink Moon"
    Sharing from my friend, John Blackfeather off of Wimkin

    The "Pink Moon," the full moon in April, is a traditional Native American name for the April full moon, not because the moon itself appears pink, but because it's named after a pink wildflower called creeping phlox or moss pink, which blooms in the early spring. Some Native American tribes also refer to it as the "Sprouting Grass Moon," "Egg Moon," or "Fish Moon," referencing other seasonal changes. Here's a more detailed explanation: The name originates from Native American traditions, particularly in the northeastern U.S., who named the April full moon after the pink-colored moss phlox, one of the first wildflowers to bloom in the spring. Other Native American names: Besides the "Pink Moon," Native American tribes also called the April full moon "Sprouting Grass Moon," "Egg Moon," and "Fish Moon". These names reflect other seasonal changes and observations of nature, such as the beginning of plant growth, the return of migratory animals, and the spawning of fish.

  • The Bible speaks harshly of those who exchange the glory of God for the shame of man. There is no excuse, and those who continue on that path receive due and just punishment.
    “For even though they knew God, they did not honor Him as God or give thanks, but they became futile in their speculations, and their foolish heart was darkened. Professing to be wise, they became fools, and exchanged the glory of the incorruptible God for an image in the form of corruptible man and of birds and four-footed animals and crawling creatures.” - Romans 1:21-23

    Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, April 7

    "O ye sons of men, how long will ye turn my glory into shame?" Psalm 4:2

    An instructive writer has made a mournful list of the honours which the blinded people of Israel awarded to their long-expected King. (1.) They gave Him a procession of honour, in which Roman legionaries, Jewish priests, men and women, took a part, He Himself bearing His cross. This is the triumph which the world awards to Him who comes to overthrow man's direst foes. Derisive shouts are His only acclamations, and cruel taunts His only paeans of praise. (2.) They presented Him with the wine of honour. Instead of a golden cup of generous wine they offered Him the criminal's stupefying death-draught, which He refused because He would preserve an uninjured taste wherewith to taste of death; and afterwards when He cried, "I thirst," they gave Him vinegar mixed with gall, thrust to His mouth upon a sponge. Oh! wretched, detestable inhospitality to the King's Son. (3.) He was provided with a guard of honour, who showed their esteem of Him by gambling over His garments, which they had seized as their booty. Such was the body-guard of the adored of heaven; a quaternion of brutal gamblers. (4.) A throne of honour was found for Him upon the bloody tree; no easier place of rest would rebel men yield to their liege Lord. The cross was, in fact, the full expression of the world's feeling towards Him; "There," they seemed to say, "Thou Son of God, this is the manner in which God Himself should be treated, could we reach Him." (5.) The title of honour was nominally "King of the Jews," but that the blinded nation distinctly repudiated, and really called Him "King of thieves," by preferring Barabbas, and by placing Jesus in the place of highest shame between two thieves. His glory was thus in all things turned into shame by the sons of men, but it shall yet gladden the eyes of saints and angels, world without end.

  • Saw this post on twitter and thought it was worth sharing. Have a good and Godly day!
    ~~~
    I have always thought that Noah was safe inside the Ark because he built it according to God's specifications. I thought that perhaps it was the strength of the gopher wood and the soundness of the architecture that ensured that the waters of the flood would not come into the Ark.
    But today I encountered a verse that shifted this whole paradigm. Let's read what Gen 7:16 says ... "The animals going in were male and female of every living thing as God had commanded Noah... THEN GOD SHUT HIM IN.... "
    Don't miss this.... even after Noah had built the Ark, it was God Himself who shut him in, in order to shut out the waters of the flood... In other translations this verse says "The LORD sealed them inside."
    It is not the fact that you have locked your house that keeps you safe at night, it is not your good driving skills that keeps you safe on the road, neither it's your healthy eating habits that keeps you healthy - only God can shut you in and shut out the devil that is seeking to devour you.
    You can do absolutely nothing without God.
  • A tweet from Ken Ham:
    I was on a radio talk program once when a caller asked, “Where did Cain get his wife?” I answered saying Cain’s wife was his sister. The next caller identified himself as an atheist and said, “If you believe that it’s incest and it’s immoral.” I’ve heard many atheists make that accusation over the years.
    First, an atheist can’t make a moral judgment like that. If it was truly incest as we understand the word today, then why is incest immoral from an atheist’s perspective anyway? If there’s no God, no absolute authority, then “right” and “wrong” are subjective and can’t be treated as moral absolutes. Also, from an atheist evolutionist’s perspective, humans are just evolved animals, so they could have sexual relationships with anyone (or any animal) as there’s no such thing as marriage (or you define it any way you want), and morality is relative. And yet atheists try to claim Christians have a moral problem with Cain’s wife being his sister! They can’t see their own inconsistencies.
    Now the word incest wasn’t even invented until the thirteenth century. It’s a modern word. But doesn’t the Bible forbid marriage between close relations? It does, but the laws against marrying family members were initially given as part of the Mosaic covenant, approximately 2,500 years after God created Adam and Eve. Due in part to genetic mistakes, these laws were necessary to help protect offspring from mutations shared by both parents.
    In today’s world, close relations (e.g., brother and sister) marrying would be incest. But originally, there would have been no problem with it. Looking back through history, the closer we get to Adam and Eve, the fewer genetic mistakes people would have, so it would have been safer for close relatives to marry and have children.
    Remember, we’re all one race, one family, all descendants of Adam and Eve. So we are all related. When you marry (one man for one woman), you marry your relation. We just don’t marry a close relation today.
Also, from an atheist evolutionist’s perspective, humans are just evolved animals, so they could have sexual relationships with anyone (or any animal) as there’s no such thing as marriage (or you define it any way you want), and morality is relative. And yet atheists try to claim Christians have a moral problem with Cain’s wife being his sister! They can’t see their own inconsistencies. Now the word incest wasn’t even invented until the thirteenth century. It’s a modern word. But doesn’t the Bible forbid marriage between close relations? It does, but the laws against marrying family members were initially given as part of the Mosaic covenant, approximately 2,500 years after God created Adam and Eve. Due in part to genetic mistakes, these laws were necessary to help protect offspring from mutations shared by both parents. In today’s world, close relations (e.g., brother and sister) marrying would be incest. But originally, there would have been no problem with it. Looking back through history, the closer we get to Adam and Eve, the fewer genetic mistakes people would have, so it would have been safer for close relatives to marry and have children. Remember, we’re all one race, one family, all descendants of Adam and Eve. So we are all related. When you marry (one man for one woman), you marry your relation. We just don’t marry a close relation today.
  • Behaving instinctively like animals, most voters readily swallow whatever manure political candidates shovel. It's time for people to stop responding with gut reactions and start thinking through their positions.
  • This is hilarious!
    Side note: I stopped my truck with the window down and talked really soft and nice to a huge bull be the side of the road. I thought he would appreciate it if I was saying nice things to him.
  • A lady asked me what I meant when I said that animals do not have a spirit and do not go to heaven. She seemed frustrated with my response. I shared with her this post from GTY. Thank you, Pastor John!
  • At the age of 44, Riste Trajkovski, the man who took care of the giraffes in the Skopje Zoo and who, with his unusual attitude towards exotic animals, was an inspiration for the people of Skopje, passed away. To make the tragedy even greater, a few hours later the last giraffe in the zoo, the ten-year-old Floppy, also passed away.
