Genesis 1:4

And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness.

Light most resembles Who God is.  The darkness most resembles the evil one, who tries to keep the soul from seeing its need for the Savior.  In the light, we have freedom to live and to move (Acts 17:28), while in the darkness we are in bondage to sin (Galatians 5:1).  God separated light from darkness, not only in the creation but also on the cross.  Jesus took away the bondage of living in darkness and gave us access to the marvelous light (1 John 1:5).

We have no excuse (Romans 1:19-21) for walking in darkness.  The light is good...and we have access to the Light by placing our faith in Him (Romans 10:9-13), confessing our sin, and living in obedience to His Word.  If you have not placed your faith in Him, don't let this moment pass.  Come to the Light today!
