"Do you really want 'fair'?" That was the hypothetical question that a coworker asked this morning as he and I were walking into the building, headed to our respective offices. He was talking about how, if God were truly "fair", every human being would be condemned to hell for all eternity. To all George Floyd worshippers out there, repent! Yes, oppose racism. Oppose racial hatred. Love people regardless of skin color. But don’t attempt to do this by honoring a criminal, a drug user, who was apprehended in the commission of a crime. Yes, it was unfortunate that the police officer used excessive force on him, but Floyd was no hero. A good way to deal with the racial issue is to strive to make disciples of Jesus of people regardless of race, color, ethnicity, nationality, and age. And open your church to people regardless of skin color.
