  • We know what the left means when they say they are going after so-called "hate speech" but sadly a lot of conservatives don't know what Pam Bondi means when she says she is going after "hate speech" and the controversy over her statements regarding "hate speech" arose from her failing to clarify as to what she meant. We should all know that the "hate speech" she is cracking down on has nothing to do with suppressing certain opinions or ideologies, but with cracking down with speech threatening, inciting, or calling for violence.

AG Bondi’s crusade against HATE SPEECH following Charlie Kirk murder tests conservative principles – NaturalNews.com
Following Charlie Kirk’s assassination, Attorney General Pam Bondi declared a crackdown on “hate speech,” causing backlash across the political spectrum and exposing divisions within conservative circles over free speech vs. government intervention. Bondi incorrectly claimed “hate speech” is legally actionable, despite U.S. law only prosecuting speech in narrow categories like incitement, true threats or defamation—not […]

  • Believer, is God unjust in His dealings with humanity? May it never be! Our God is a just God, and any penalties He imposes for sin are surely earned and absolutely justified.

Yet God is also a merciful God. In His patience, He delayed punishment for many, waiting for the appointed time when His salvation would be revealed in Christ. And so, He how shows mercy and justifies those who believe (Rom. 3:21-26).

To whom does He show this mercy? To whomever He pleases, according to His will. As Scripture says, “I will have mercy on whom I have mercy…So then, He has mercy on whom He desires…” (Rom. 9:15-18). Does that make Him unjust? By no means!

As already stated, He is just and justified in condemning those who sin, for that condemnation is earned. Showing mercy to some is in not injustice - it is grace. “Where then is boasting? It is excluded” (Rom. 3:27), because our justification is not earned, it is granted.

It is God who justifies. It is God who saves. It is God who chooses, as Jesus even said to His disciples, “you did not choose Me, but I chose you” (Jn. 15:16).

Let us therefore be humbled by the fact that God is “just, and the justifier of the one who has faith” (Rom. 3:26). We have contributed nothing to our salvation except the sin that made it necessary. We do not justify ourselves, but in His mercy, God justifies us according to His will, for His glory. “For by grace you have been saved through faith; and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; not as a result of works, so that no one may boast” (Eph. 2:8-9).

    Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, September 25

"Just, and the justifier of him which believeth." Romans 3:26

Being justified by faith, we have peace with God. Conscience accuses no longer. Judgment now decides for the sinner instead of against him. Memory looks back upon past sins, with deep sorrow for the sin, but yet with no dread of any penalty to come; for Christ has paid the debt of His people to the last jot and tittle, and received the divine receipt; and unless God can be so unjust as to demand double payment for one debt, no soul for whom Jesus died as a substitute can ever be cast into hell. It seems to be one of the very principles of our enlightened nature to believe that God is just; we feel that it must be so, and this gives us our terror at first; but is it not marvellous that this very same belief that God is just, becomes afterwards the pillar of our confidence and peace! If God be just, I, a sinner, alone and without a substitute, must be punished; but Jesus stands in my stead and is punished for me; and now, if God be just, I, a sinner, standing in Christ, can never be punished. God must change His nature before one soul, for whom Jesus was a substitute, can ever by any possibility suffer the lash of the law. Therefore, Jesus having taken the place of the believer- having rendered a full equivalent to divine wrath for all that His people ought to have suffered as the result of sin, the believer can shout with glorious triumph, "Who shall lay anything to the charge of God's elect?" Not God, for He hath justified; not Christ, for He hath died, "yea rather hath risen again." My hope lives not because I am not a sinner, but because I am a sinner for whom Christ died; my trust is not that I am holy, but that being unholy, He is my righteousness. My faith rests not upon what I am, or shall be, or feel, or know, but in what Christ is, in what He has done, and in what He is now doing for me. On the lion of justice the fair maid of hope rides like a queen.

The problem lies not with our founding or the principles upon which the country was built, however; instead, it lies within our misunderstanding of those principles.

  • Believer, do you trust God fully, at all times? How often do we rely upon our own intellect, emotion, resources, anything but Him? Has He not promised always to provide our needs? (Mt. 6:25-33) Is He a man that He should lie, or a son of man that He should repent? (Num. 23:19)

We are told instead to "Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your paths straight." (Pro. 3:5-6) Such simple advice, but at times, so difficult to follow. Yet we know that He will not fail in His purpose; thus we need to remember to cling to Him, not this world which will pass away.

    Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotions

    Evening, September 1

"Trust in Him at all times." Psalm 62:8

Faith is as much the rule of temporal as of spiritual life; we ought to have faith in God for our earthly affairs as well as for our heavenly business. It is only as we learn to trust in God for the supply of all our daily need that we shall live above the world. We are not to be idle, that would show we did not trust in God, who worketh hitherto, but in the devil, who is the father of idleness. We are not to be imprudent or rash; that were to trust chance, and not the living God, who is a God of economy and order. Acting in all prudence and uprightness, we are to rely simply and entirely upon the Lord at all times.

Let me commend to you a life of trust in God in temporal things. Trusting in God, you will not be compelled to mourn because you have used sinful means to grow rich. Serve God with integrity, and if you achieve no success, at least no sin will lie upon your conscience. Trusting God, you will not be guilty of self-contradiction. He who trusts in craft, sails this way today, and that way the next, like a vessel tossed about by the fickle wind; but he that trusteth in the Lord is like a vessel propelled by steam, she cuts through the waves, defies the wind, and makes one bright silvery straightforward track to her destined haven. Be you a man with living principles within; never bow to the varying customs of worldly wisdom. Walk in your path of integrity with steadfast steps, and show that you are invincibly strong in the strength which confidence in God alone can confer. Thus you will be delivered from carking care, you will not be troubled with evil tidings, your heart will be fixed, trusting in the Lord. How pleasant to float along the stream of providence! There is no more blessed way of living than a life of dependence upon a covenant-keeping God. We have no care, for He careth for us; we have no troubles, because we cast our burdens upon the Lord.

  • Spurgeon's Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, July 24

"Stand still, and see the salvation of the Lord." Exodus 14:13

These words contain God's command to the believer when he is reduced to great straits and brought into extraordinary difficulties. He cannot retreat; he cannot go forward; he is shut up on the right hand and on the left; what is he now to do? The Master's word to him is, "Stand still." It will be well for him if at such times he listens only to his Master's word, for other and evil advisers come with their suggestions. Despair whispers, "Lie down and die; give it all up." But God would have us put on a cheerful courage, and even in our worst times, rejoice in His love and faithfulness. Cowardice says, "Retreat; go back to the worldling's way of action; you cannot play the Christian's part, it is too difficult. Relinquish your principles." But, however much Satan may urge this course upon you, you cannot follow it if you are a child of God. His divine fiat has bid thee go from strength to strength, and so thou shalt, and neither death nor hell shall turn thee from thy course. What, if for a while thou art called to stand still, yet this is but to renew thy strength for some greater advance in due time. Precipitancy cries, "do something. Stir yourself; to stand still and wait, is sheer idleness." We must be doing something at once- we must do it so we think- instead of looking to the Lord, who will not only do something but will do everything. Presumption boasts, "If the sea be before you, march into it and expect a miracle." But Faith listens neither to Presumption, nor to Despair, nor to Cowardice, nor to Precipitancy, but it hears God say, "Stand still," and immovable as a rock it stands. "Stand still";- keep the posture of an upright man, ready for action, expecting further orders, cheerfully and patiently awaiting the directing voice; and it will not be long ere God shall say to you, as distinctly as Moses said it to the people of Israel, "Go forward."

  • My principles for preparing a meal:

    1. Meal should have nutritional balance.
    2. Meal should be made of natural or organic ingredients that have been cleaned thoroughly and prepared properly
    3. Meal should be tasty, have great flavor (that always rules-out cauliflower, eggplant, zucchini, and kale).
    4. Meal should look attractive and enticing - a meal people are anxious to enjoy.
    5. Portion Control. I don't care about this; people should manage this with their forks.
    6. Ease of consumption. If food is problematic, difficult to eat, then don't make it that way!
    7. It should be something I would enjoy eating!
    8. Minimize the number of pots, pans, and bowls needed to prepare the meal - cleanup can be exhausting.
    9. Don't cook when drunk.
My principles for preparing a meal: 1. Meal should have nutritional balance. 2. Meal should be made of natural or organic ingredients that have been cleaned thoroughly and prepared properly 3. 7. • Duffner Good morning. Do you have room in the footer for the Declaration of Independence? I believe it should be in the reference library, along with the other Founders' documents. It is our nation's first foundational document, our nation's political manifesto. It clearly states the reason for this noble experiment in governance, lays out the English enlightenment principles that were codified in the subsequent Articles of Confederation and the Constitution.

  • A Twitter post by Darrell Harrison

I have some close friends who, for personal reasons, are conflicted about voting for Donald Trump. I voted for him. And though, as with any candidate running for political office, there is much to be desired about Trump, both as a man and a presidential candidate in terms of his policies, I found these words from an 1876 speech by former slave and abolitionist Frederick Douglass, titled Oration in Memory of Abraham Lincoln, to be helpful to me personally:

"Though he [Lincoln] loved Caesar less than Rome, though the Union was more to him than our freedom or our future, under his wise and beneficent rule we saw ourselves gradually lifted from the depths of slavery to the heights of liberty and manhood; under his wise and beneficent rule, and by measures approved and vigorously pressed by him, we saw that the handwriting of ages, in the form of prejudice and proscription, was rapidly fading away from the face of our whole country . . . We saw Abraham Lincoln, after giving slaveholders three months' grace in which to save their hateful slave system, penning the immortal paper [Emancipation Proclamation], which though special in its language, was general in its principles and effect, making slavery forever impossible in the United States. Though we waited long, we saw all this and more."

Keep in mind that Douglass was no great admirer of Lincoln. He knew that on the issue of slavery Lincoln was not an abolitionist. In fact, in that same speech, he said, "You [white people] are the children of Abraham Lincoln. We [black people] are at best only his step-children." My point is that though Lincoln, in totality, was not the kind of president Douglass wished him to be, he was nevertheless an ardent supporter of Lincoln knowing that, though he had to "wait long," Lincoln was the right candidate to support.

    I'll leave it there.

  • A detailed answer to the rhetorical question posed in this meme is that printing money doesn't end (or even mitigate) poverty, but actually makes it worse through the inflation it fuels. Grade inflation, social promotion through the school grades, lowered entrance requirements (jiggered SATs), and lowered scholastic standards to promote "equity" have accelerated the advancement of indulged, educated idiots into society.  Those same barely educated idiots increasingly hold political power as elected politicians at every level.

Our society suffers from hollowed out standards, principles, and institutions. The current state of chaos was predicted by wise people. Cultural Marxism is the most obvious sociopolitical culprit to blame, but arguably blame could be laid on our utterly corruptible human nature.

    Rant over.

If you are a parent, you need to recognize that (no matter who you are) your children are not exempt from the ongoing efforts to commandeer their worldview and alienate them from biblical principles."

  • The Destruction Of Christian Principles In Society Make It Fertile Ground For A Marxist Revolution Melbourne is the capital city of Victoria but is also becoming known as the heartland of radical leftists, intellectual activism and neo-Marxism. It wasn’t always like this. The discovery of gold in the 1850’s and 60’s was the most significant event in the evolution of the state of Victoria. Fueled by extravagant stories of wealth gained at the 1849 Californian gold rush, gold fever hit Victoria. When eight tons of Victorian gold arrived at London’s port in April 1852, the Times of London declared: “…this is California all over again, but it would appear, California on a larger scale…” In fact, between 1850 and 1900, the goldfields of Bendigo produced the most gold in the world – around nine billion dollars in today’s money. Not surprisingly, this led to a period of extreme prosperity for Victoria and an influx of population growth and financial capital for Melbourne. As a result of this procurement of wealth, the city was dubbed “Marvellous Melbourne.” Fast forward to 2023, and all that has changed. Rather than “Marvellous Melbourne,” the city should be called “Marxist Melbourne”. Victoria, like so many other places throughout the world, is succumbing to the agenda of radical leftists and their neo-Marxist worldview…

    Chapter 6

1 Therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of Christ, let us go on unto perfection; not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works, and of faith toward God,

2 Of the doctrine of baptisms, and of laying on of hands, and of resurrection of the dead, and of eternal judgment.

3 And this will we do, if God permit.

4 For it is impossible for those who were once enlightened, and have tasted of the heavenly gift, and were made partakers of the Holy Ghost,

5 And have tasted the good word of God, and the powers of the world to come,

6 If they shall fall away, to renew them again unto repentance; seeing they crucify to themselves the Son of God afresh, and put him to an open shame.

7 For the earth which drinketh in the rain that cometh oft upon it, and bringeth forth herbs meet for them by whom it is dressed, receiveth blessing from God:

8 But that which beareth thorns and briers is rejected, and is nigh unto cursing; whose end is to be burned.

9 But, beloved, we are persuaded better things of you, and things that accompany salvation, though we thus speak.

10 For God is not unrighteous to forget your work and labour of love, which ye have shewed toward his name, in that ye have ministered to the saints, and do minister.

11 And we desire that every one of you do shew the same diligence to the full assurance of hope unto the end:

12 That ye be not slothful, but followers of them who through faith and patience inherit the promises.

13 For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself,

14 Saying, Surely blessing I will bless thee, and multiplying I will multiply thee.

15 And so, after he had patiently endured, he obtained the promise.

16 For men verily swear by the greater: and an oath for confirmation is to them an end of all strife.

17 Wherein God, willing more abundantly to shew unto the heirs of promise the immutability of his counsel, confirmed it by an oath:

18 That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:

    19 Which hope we have as an anchor of the soul, both sure and stedfast, and which entereth into that within the veil;

20 Whither the forerunner is for us entered, even Jesus, made an high priest for ever after the order of Melchisedec.
