• I haven't seen anyone on this platform mention last week's amazing event in the realm of AI, specifically the launch of the first ever social media platform exclusively for AI agents. It's a natural progression in the evolution of the technology. It reveals many things about the technology:
    > how many people and businesses are employing AI agents at home and around the globe
    > the range of functionality, from the most banal to the most esoteric specializations and optimizations
    > how much it reveals about us humans as it mirrors us
    > how diverse and perverse the language, the range of "thought" (cognition), the social attributes of these emergent "personalities"
    > how the accessibility of the technology can dramatically change the social order

For these reasons, I'm creating an AI focused group here on Cre8aplace, to see if there's any interest in the topic and to see if it can generate productive conversations. I'll even use provocative imagery to attract attention.

  • Believer, recall when Jesus walked, unrecognized, with two disciples on the road to Emmaus. They were in conversation regarding the events of the past few days, and Jesus joined them. They were perplexed over the women’s statements regarding the empty tomb, so as they traveled on, Jesus, beginning with Moses and the prophets, “explained to them the things concerning Himself in all the Scriptures” (Lk. 24:27).

At the time, the only “Scriptures” were what we know as the Old Testament.

Think about that. He began with Moses, which is the Pentateuch - Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers, and Deuteronomy - then taught them the things about Himself written in all the Scriptures. Every book of the Old Testament teaches of our savior. In every book, we can find hidden gems about our Messiah.

Whether through archetypes, like the Passover lamb and the ram Abraham found in the thicket to replace Isaac as a sacrifice, or in “the angel of the Lord,” or in shadows that looked forward to Him, such as the tabernacle and its services or the sabbath rest, all pointed to Christ.

As Paul wrote, “the Law has become our tutor to lead us to Christ, so that we may be justified by faith” (Gal. 3:24).

We could not fulfill the law on our own; no man could. It was given to show us our sinfulness and need of a savior. As Paul again explains, “I would not have come to know sin except through the Law” (Rom. 7:7).

Jesus set us free from our bondage that we could not ourselves break. And all of the Old Testament points to Him.

Christian, do not neglect reading all of the Scriptures. Christ, and God, is found in all of it, and all of it points to His glory, as our lives also are to do.

    Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions

    Evening, January 18

"He expounded unto them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself." Luke 24:27

The two disciples on the road to Emmaus had a most profitable journey. Their companion and teacher was the best of tutors"; the interpreter one of a thousand, in whom are hid all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge. The Lord Jesus condescended to become a preacher of the gospel, and He was not ashamed to exercise His calling before an audience of two persons, neither does He now refuse to become the teacher of even one. Let us court the company of so excellent an Instructor, for till He is made unto us wisdom we shall never be wise unto salvation.

This unrivalled tutor used as His class-book the best of books. Although able to reveal fresh truth, He preferred to expound the old. He knew by His omniscience what was the most instructive way of teaching, and by turning at once to Moses and the prophets, He showed us that the surest road to wisdom is not speculation, reasoning, or reading human books, but meditation upon the Word of God. The readiest way to be spiritually rich in heavenly knowledge is to dig in this mine of diamonds, to gather pearls from this heavenly sea. When Jesus Himself sought to enrich others, He wrought in the quarry of Holy Scripture.

The favoured pair were led to consider the best of subjects, for Jesus spake of Jesus, and expounded the things concerning Himself. Here the diamond cut the diamond, and what could be more admirable? The Master of the House unlocked His own doors, conducted the guests to His table, and placed His own dainties upon it. He who hid the treasure in the field Himself guided the searchers to it. Our Lord would naturally discourse upon the sweetest of topics, and He could find none sweeter than His own person and work: with an eye to these we should always search the Word. O for grace to study the Bible with Jesus as both our teacher and our lesson!

  • Believer, how do you respond to sin? Not that of others, but your own? Are you afflicted deeply with sorrow? Or are you more like the Pharisees, making a show of your repentance while remaining unchanged?

The “religious” among us would, as did many in Scripture, rend their garments when confronted with sin or injustice. Yet this outward act was matched by neither inward grief nor change. This is not what God desires.

God wants people with a changed heart, people mournful of misdoings, not those who would signal misery on the outside while remaining unchanged. For God says through the prophet, “rend your heart and not your garments” (Joel 2:13). God wants a people who are broken by sin, not who wallow in it.

And when we truly repent, if we confess our sins to Him, He is faithful and just, and will forgive us our sins, and will cleanse us from all unrighteousness (1 Jn. 1:9).

Brethren, examine your heart today. Are you truly repentant? Do you despise sin as He does? Or do you rather justify yourself, making an outward show of seeking forgiveness, but having your heart untouched?

    ——————
    Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, December 18

"Rend your heart, and not your garments." Joel 2:13

Garment-rendering and other outward signs of religious emotion, are easily manifested and are frequently hypocritical"; but to feel true repentance is far more difficult, and consequently far less common. Men will attend to the most multiplied and minute ceremonial regulations- for such things are pleasing to the flesh- but true religion is too humbling, too heart-searching, too thorough for the tastes of the carnal men; they prefer something more ostentatious, flimsy, and worldly. Outward observances are temporarily comfortable"; eye and ear are pleased; self-conceit is fed, and self-righteousness is puffed up: but they are ultimately delusive, for in the article of death, and at the day of judgment, the soul needs something more substantial than ceremonies and rituals to lean upon. Apart from vital godliness all religion is utterly vain; offered without a sincere heart, every form of worship is a solemn sham and an impudent mockery of the majesty of heaven.

HEART-RENDING is divinely wrought and solemnly felt. It is a secret grief which is personally experienced, not in mere form, but as a deep, soul-moving work of the Holy Spirit upon the inmost heart of each believer. It is not a matter to be merely talked of and believed in, but keenly and sensitively felt in every living child of the living God. It is powerfully humiliating, and completely sin-purging; but then it is sweetly preparative for those gracious consolations which proud unhumbled spirits are unable to receive; and it is distinctly discriminating, for it belongs to the elect of God, and to them alone.
The text commands us to rend our hearts, but they are naturally hard as marble: how, then, can this be done? We must take them to Calvary: a dying Saviour's voice rent the rocks once, and it is as powerful now. O blessed Spirit, let us hear the death-cries of Jesus, and our hearts shall be rent even as men rend their vestures in the day of lamentation.

  • Christian, to what length are you willing to go in order to reach the lost? Paul declared, “I have become all things to all men, so that I may by all means save some” (1 Cor. 9:22).

But what does this mean? Did Paul become an adulterer in order to reach adulterers? Or a homosexual that he might draw homosexuals to Christ? Did he become a thief in order to save thieves? While Paul explains that, to the Jews he became as a Jew, and to those without the law, he became as one without the law, his statement of becoming all things is clearly not literal.

Paul here is making the point that he met people where they were, just as did Jesus Himself. Paul was willing to sacrifice his liberties (not to go against his beliefs or violate them) in order to have opportunity to preach the gospel.

Make no mistake - Paul did not water down the gospel, he used no “hook,” he did not entertain to be heard, nor use enticing or eloquent speech. For what does Paul say?

“I did not come with superiority of speech or of wisdom, proclaiming to you the testimony of God. For I determined to know nothing among you except Jesus Christ, and Him crucified…my message and my preaching were not in persuasive words of wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power, so that your faith would not rest on the wisdom of men, but on the power of God” (1 Cor. 2:1-5)

Paul preached in or near the synagogues, in jail, on the streets. The purpose was to carry the good news of the kingdom to the lost and hurting, to a dark and dying world. He regarded his reputation, his freedom, any worldly possessions, as worthless compared to reaching the lost. We would do well to do the same.

    ——————
    Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions

    Evening, December 7

"I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some." 1 Corinthians 9:22

Paul's great object was not merely to instruct and to improve, but to save. Anything short of this would have disappointed him; he would have men renewed in heart, forgiven, sanctified, in fact, saved. Have our Christian labours been aimed at anything below this great point? Then let us amend our ways, for of what avail will it be at the last great day to have taught and moralized men if they appear before God unsaved? Blood-red will our skirts be if through life we have sought inferior objects, and forgotten that men needed to be saved. Paul knew the ruin of man's natural state, and did not try to educate him, but to save him; he saw men sinking to hell, and did not talk of refining them, but of saving from the wrath to come. To compass their salvation, he gave himself up with untiring zeal to telling abroad the gospel, to warning and beseeching men to be reconciled to God. His prayers were importunate and his labours incessant. To save souls was his consuming passion, his ambition, his calling. He became a servant to all men, toiling for his race, feeling a woe within him if he preached not the gospel. He laid aside his preferences to prevent prejudice; he submitted his will in things indifferent, and if men would but receive the gospel, he raised no questions about forms or ceremonies: the gospel was the one all-important business with him. If he might save some he would be content. This was the crown for which he strove, the sole and sufficient reward of all his labours and self-denials. Dear reader, have you and I lived to win souls at this noble rate? Are we possessed with the same all-absorbing desire? If not, why not? Jesus died for sinners, cannot we live for them? Where is our tenderness? Where our love to Christ, if we seek not His honour in the salvation of men? O that the Lord would saturate us through and through with an undying zeal for the souls of men.

2:1-5) Paul preached in or near the synagogues, in jail, on the streets. The purpose was to carry the good news of the kingdom to the lost and hurting, to a dark and dying world. He regarded his reputation, his freedom, any worldly possessions, as worthless compared to reaching the lost. We would do well to do the same. —————— Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions Evening, December 7 "I am made all things to all men, that I might by all means save some." 1 Corinthians 9:22 Paul's great object was not merely to instruct and to improve, but to save.

  • I thought this was very interesting and a good reason to be optimistic and a realist at the same time

    Help Out of Nowhere
King David prayed with these words: “I lift my eyes to the mountains, from whence will come my help?”

The Rebbe, Rabbi Menachem M. Schneerson of righteous memory, once explained: The words “from whence” can also be translated as “from nothingness”—meaning that there is nothing in existence that could possibly help.

But then, David continues, “My help is from G‑d, maker of heaven and earth.” Beyond existence.

You see people believe that only fools are optimists. But the opposite is true. Precisely because we understand how desperate the situation really is, how helpless we are and how impossible the challenge, that itself tells us how great a G‑d we have—a G‑d who can lift us high beyond the natural order and transform the most ominous darkness to brilliant good.

The greater a realist you are, the greater your joy.

  • Dear Christian, do you ever stop to think about the Lord being mighty in battle? Scripture declares He is so (Psalm. 24:8). David understood this. It was in this confidence he, unburdened by man-made armor, faced Goliath and disposed of the giant. Not in his own strength or prowess, but by God’s hand.

In battle, the victory belongs to the Lord (Pr. 21:31). You may ask, “but what has this to do with us?” Everything, beloved. We are not just saints, we are soldiers! We do not war with weapons of the flesh, nor according to the flesh, but by divine power (2 Cor. 10:4).

We face battles daily. The flesh and its lusts wage war against the soul (Gal. 5:16-17; 1 Pet. 2:11). Thus, we also must daily don our armor, as Paul exhorts in Eph. 6:10-17. We are there reminded that “our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places” (Eph. 6:12). And we wield the most powerful weapon available, “the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God” (Eph. 6:17), and which is “living and active and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing as far as the division of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and able to judge the thoughts and intentions of the heart” (Heb. 4:12).

Let us then be sure to prepare ourselves each morning for the battles that face us each day, never forgetting that He who is in us is greater than He who is in the world (1 Jn. 4:4). And He has assured us that, “In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world” (Jn. 16:33). The Lord is mighty in battle!

    Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions

    Evening, December 3

"The Lord mighty in battle." Psalm 24:8

Well may our God be glorious in the eyes of His people, seeing that He has wrought such wonders for them, in them, and by them. For them, the Lord Jesus upon Calvary routed every foe, breaking all the weapons of the enemy in pieces by His finished work of satisfactory obedience; by His triumphant resurrection and ascension He completely overturned the hopes of hell, leading captivity captive, making a show of our enemies openly, triumphing over them by His cross. Every arrow of guilt which Satan might have shot at us is broken, for who can lay anything to the charge of God's elect? Vain are the sharp swords of infernal malice, and the perpetual battles of the serpent's seed, for in the midst of the church the lame take the prey, and the feeblest warriors are crowned.

The saved may well adore their Lord for His conquests in them, since the arrows of their natural hatred are snapped, and the weapons of their rebellion broken. What victories has grace won in our evil hearts! How glorious is Jesus when the will is subdued, and sin dethroned! As for our remaining corruptions, they shall sustain an equally sure defeat, and every temptation, and doubt, and fear, shall be utterly destroyed. In the Salem of our peaceful hearts, the name of Jesus is great beyond compare: He has won our love, and He shall wear it. Even thus securely may we look for victories by us. We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. We shall cast down the powers of darkness which are in the world, by our faith, and zeal, and holiness; we shall win sinners to Jesus, we shall overturn false systems, we shall convert nations, for God is with us, and none shall stand before us. This evening let the Christian warrior chant the war song, and prepare for tomorrow's fight. Greater is He that is in us than he that is in the world.

  • **The Politics Of Cause And Effect**

    https://www.americanthinker.com/articles/2025/12/the_politics_of_cause_and_effect.html

The short article linked above explains one of the many problems we have with the current manifestation of our government; the delay in seeing the results of our decisions in the voting booth. One cause is the usually interminable slow process of our elected representatives enacting and implementing policy changes to effect necessary changes, whether at the local, state, or federal levels. Unless they have a personal agenda or are otherwise motivated. [*Wink wink*] Think of the Patriot Act or the TARP act.

While due diligence and thoughtful deliberations are necessary to achieve needed changes, the dog and pony shows we see in our governing bodies obscure our ability to connect cause and effect. It seemingly starts with tight-lipped politicians who refuse to be open and transparent about their thought processes, rightfully fearful they will reveal their lack of depth and clarity, thus exposing their inability or unwillingness to think long-term and big picture for the common good. Or fearful they'll lose the support of special interest constituencies necessary to retain their incumbency. So they resort to orchestration of the publicly seen process, a liturgy to sustain an illusion of openness and transparency and public duty.

Then come the drawn out bureaucratic processes of study groups, hearings soliciting stakeholder and public comments, trial balloons of flawed proposals subsequently returned or redirected to staff or committee or board or commission for further review or refinement. All of this occurs within the supposition (or desperately held hope) there's an ethos and culture within the hired government bureaucracy of ethical conduct, competence, and stewardship. Which given the odds, are likely isolated to only a few departments within the bureaucracy.

Earlier I stated, "It seemingly starts with tight-lipped politicians..." It would be more accurate to say it starts with the electorate, most of whom pay scant attention to the issues, who themselves are trapped in a short attention span prison, consumed with their pressing personal needs, despair, and distractions; unwilling to think critically, and more committed to relationships than principles. And then there are those who would naturally, instinctively, and cynically take advantage of their failure (refusal?) to think long-term and big picture. Those would be the so-called political class; the thought leaders, the deal makers, those lobbying and jockeying for advantage, the king makers, those pandering to increasingly narrow special interests.

I believe bell curve distribution of attributes are usually accurate. Bell curves don't have to be symmetrical and pretty, but they're usually workable depictions. And societal structures are historically pyramids.

Walt Kelly, creator of the Pogo comics, said it best in 1970.

    Rant over.

  • Dear Christians, criticism comes quickly and easily, and though reproof and correction are necessary, criticism can be destructive to the soul. As Proverbs 18:21 reminds us, “Death and life are in the power of the tongue.”

While it is easy to tear down, how often do we build up and encourage? More so, how often do we celebrate our brethren in living out the truth?

John, in his third letter, exclaimed to Gaius, “I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth” (3 Jn. 1:3). Do you rejoice over our brethren walking in truth?

After all, this is an aspect of love, it “rejoices with the truth” (1 Cor. 13:6).

Therefore, while we rightly should exhort, reprove, correct one another with Scripture (2 Tim. 3:16), we also should be encouraging one another (Heb. 10:24-25), and rejoicing when we see our brethren walking in the light and in truth (1 Jn. 1:7; 3 Jn. 1:3).

    ——————
    Spurgeon’s Morning and Evening Devotions

    Morning, November 28

"For I rejoiced greatly, when the brethren came and testified of the truth that is in thee, even as thou walkest in the truth." 3 John 3

The truth was in Gaius, and Gaius walked in the truth. If the first had not been the case, the second could never have occurred; and if the second could not be said of him the first would have been a mere pretence. Truth must enter into the soul, penetrate and saturate it, or else it is of no value. Doctrines held as a matter of creed are like bread in the hand, which ministers no nourishment to the frame; but doctrine accepted by the heart, is as food digested, which, by assimilation, sustains and builds up the body. In us truth must be a living force, an active energy, an indwelling reality, a part of the woof and warp of our being. If it be in us, we cannot henceforth part with it. A man may lose his garments or his limbs, but his inward parts are vital, and cannot be torn away without absolute loss of life. A Christian can die, but he cannot deny the truth. Now it is a rule of nature that the inward affects the outward, as light shines from the centre of the lantern through the glass: when, therefore, the truth is kindled within, its brightness soon beams forth in the outward life and conversation. It is said that the food of certain worms colours the cocoons of silk which they spin: and just so the nutriment upon which a man's inward nature lives gives a tinge to every word and deed proceeding from him. To walk in the truth, imports a life of integrity, holiness, faithfulness, and simplicity- the natural product of those principles of truth which the gospel teaches, and which the Spirit of God enables us to receive. We may judge of the secrets of the soul by their manifestation in the man's conversation. Be it ours today, O gracious Spirit, to be ruled and governed by Thy divine authority, so that nothing false or sinful may reign in our hearts, lest it extend its malignant influence to our daily walk among men.

  • In the Czech Republic, a family of beavers unintentionally saved the government a large amount of money by building a dam where officials had planned to construct one. The beavers created a natural structure that blocked polluted water and restored balance to the local ecosystem. Their dam performed the same function as the proposed human-made project, which was estimated to cost around 1.2 million dollars.
