Good to hear Charlie Kirk’s killer has been arrested. Now God’s people need to pray for the salvation of the assassin. And those of you who do not know Jesus as Savior need to turn to Christ for salvation from sin as well.

Heard Joe Luter passed away. For those who do not know him, he was the head of Smithfield Foods for many years, a company l worked at for about a decade. Though l did not know Mr Luter personally, l saw him a lot when l worked there.
The man was worth hundreds of millions. Now other people will inherit what he left. When a well known rich person dies, and it happens often, it is a reminder that the rich and poor have the same ending, death. However our souls live on. Jesus gave a parable about a rich man and a poor man, both of whom died. One went to hell and the other was in paradise, in Abraham’s bosom as the Lord described it. What do you stand before God? Have you believed on Jesus? Is Christ your Lord and Savior? No better time than now to turn to Christ for salvation while you still have breathe. I saw this scripture this weekend in 2 Corinthians 6:2b. Take heed to it if you are uncertain of your salvation.

“Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation.”

Three celebrities have died this week, two of them quick and unexpected. Malcolm Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osborne, and Hulk Hogan. We are reminded once again that death strikes the rich and famous, as well as the poor and unheard of. The Bible says, “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,”
‭‭Hebrews‬ ‭9‬:‭27‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Are you prepared to meet God should death knock on your door? Do you know Jesus as Lord and Savior? Today would be a great day to turn to Him.

Real sorry to hear of the drowning death of actor Malcolm Jamal Warner, who was on the Cosby Show and more recently, on Alert. It goes to show that the rich and famous can pass quickly and unexpectedly as do others. It brings to mind the scripture, “And as it is appointed for men to die once, but after this the judgment,”

It is important that folks have a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ. Our end can come at any time and there is no second chances.

A bishop then must be blameless, the husband of one wife, vigilant, sober, of good behavior, given to hospitality, apt to teach...
Moreover he must have a good report of them which are without; lest he fall into reproach and the snare of the devil.

A pastor must be BLAMELESS. What does that mean in this context? There should never be an accusation against a pastor that can be proven or that he confesses. The most egregious of accusations is the one where he has committed sexual sin outside of his marriage. We have watched, over the past few months, how pastor after pastor has had to leave his pulpit because he sinned against his wife. We watched some of the most gifted and doctrinally sound men of this era confess that they were unfaithful in their marriages. Once they have committed such a heinous act, they are NO LONGER BLAMELESS, thereby disqualifying themselves from pulpit ministry FOREVER. It matters not how much they cry and beg for forgiveness. If they are sincere in their apologies, they will submit themselves to church discipline and sit down somewhere under some doctrinally sound teaching and accept the fact that they no longer belong in the pulpit. If they don't do that, they are arrogant and disobedient to God's Word. It doesn't matter who likes them or how much someone thinks they are such a good preacher. This doesn't mean they can't repent and end up in heaven, but they cannot go back and undo their sin, which means they are forever disqualified from the pulpit.

Those who belong to Jesus are surrounded by those wicked in God’s sight. That is the reason we see powerless law, injustice, and perverse judgement.
